    Whistler has a severe staffing shortage, and every business struggles to provide services. Due to this, wages have seen a steep increase over the past couple of years, and these increases have been passed on to owners in most cases, while our management fees have remained consistent.

  • Our wonderful Guest Services team are what keep Sundial Hotel #1 Traveler Ranked Hotel in Whistler. They consistently deliver incredible service and even won the Whistler Chamber Secret Shopper program for Winter 2023/24.

    We have increased wages and seen substantial inflation increases in laundry, cleaning & hotel supplies but have not passed any costs on to the owners. In addition, our ownership has purchased 3 staff houses to ensure adequate staffing to operate at an optimal level. We have also heavily invested in Room Attendant LMIA working visas to bring in talented staff from other parts of the world, as there is a shortage locally.

  • We also offer 24-hour on-site Guest Services, Maintenance, and security to our Carleton Lodge suites, which ensures someone from the Sundial Hotel is always on-site to quickly deal with emergencies such as flooding, door code problems, security issues, etc.

  • We employ a full-time Revenue Manager and Sales & Marketing team to ensure maximum revenue is achieved in any given market.. We consistently achieve the highest REVPAR (rates vs. occupancy) over our competitive set.

    Our Sales & Marketing Team also manages all things digital. You won’t have to worry about building a website, paid online advertising or managing inverntory across multiple platforms. Our Property Management System is fully integrated across our direct booking engine and online travel agents such as booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com etc.
